Cyber Risk (a/k/a as Cyber Liability) still challenges Florida Businesses in 2024. This 2-Hour Class will take a holistic look at the Risk. We begin our conversation by revisiting a few Generic Definitions. A quick review of Florida’s Security of Confidential Persona Information Statute (yes … there is one!) follows. Next, we will use the ISO Information Security Protection Policy (yes … there is one of these as well!!) as a guide to organize the multiple Insuring Agreements our insureds need to understand. In what may be considered a little bit of a “stretch” … we will make the comparison of Cyber Risk to a Homeowners Policy. We will conclude with a detailed analysis of an actual Cyber Claim and the importance of a Breech Coach and the necessary Cyber Services that need to be vetted and easily accessible when a Cyber Event is first reported.
